Maude Ann Lappin, 92 of Waltonville died 8:13 a.m., July 2, 1999, at Mt. Vernon Country Side Manor. Mrs. Lappin was a homemaker. She was born Feb. 26, 1907, in Williamson County, a daughter of George and Nancy (Moake) Woolard. She married Joe Lappin in 1930, who died in 1971. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fry and Frick Funeral Home in Waltonville with Rev. Ron Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Abner Cemetery in Nason. Friends may call Fry and Frick Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Lappin is survived by four sons; Fred Lappin of Sesser, Danny Lappin and wife Barbara of Bonnie, Bert Lappin and wife Marjorie of Waltonville and Jerry Lappin and wife Mary of Scheller; four daughters; Sybel Sledge and husband Gene of Mattoon, Joann Frick and husband Gene of Bonnie, Brenda Best and husband Dennis of Lucas, Texas, and Linda Frisch and husband Bob of Scheller; one brother Luther Woolard of West Frankfort; 35 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and six great-great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Earnie and Melton; and one daughter Wanda Weills and two daughter-in-laws. She was a member of the Waltonville Free Baptist Church.
