Died---At his home, about four miles southwest of this place, on Wednesday, May 17, 1882, of heart disease, William Spencer, in his sixty-second year. Funeral services at the Inwood M. E. church, after which the remains were taken to the Hindel cemetery for interment. He leaves a family and a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn their loss. Mr. Spencer was in his usual health up to midday of the day of his death. During the forenoon he drilled corn and came in at noon, ate his dinner as usual with the rest of the family and at 3 o'clock that afternoon was lying a corpse. Life is uncertain, death is sure.
