The family was still living in Center Township when the 1880 enumeration took place. Besides William and Nancy, four of the children were still living at home with their parents--Thomas, aged 28, Elizabeth, aged 20, Ellen C., aged 18, and Ida, aged 16.
On 4 Sep 1881, Ida married Samuel Lewis Johnson in Marshall Co. In 1884, they welcomed daughter Pearl A.
On 17 Oct 1895, Ida married for a second time. She married Edward Albert Anders on 17 Oct 1895 in Marshall County. It was also a second marriage for Edward. He had previously married Catherine Flosenzier on 31 Oct 1883.
Ida and Edward appeared together on the 1900 Census, living in Plymouth, Marshall County, where Edward was earning a living as a wood worker. With the couple was Ida's daughter Pearl, aged 16. Ida reported that she had had two children and that one was still living.
When the 1910 Census was taken, Edward and Ida showed up in South Bend, St. Joseph Co., about thirty miles northeast of where they had been living in Plymouth. Edward was working as a meat cutter in a meat market, and Ida was doing dressmaking work. On this record, Ida reported that she had only had one child, and that she was living. I found a marriage record for a Pearl Johnson to Willis C. Divine on 25 Nov 1904 in Marshall County which may be for Ida's daughter.
I couldn't find Ida in 1920 but as she died in Chicago, that is where she must have been. She died on 26 Jan 1924 in Chicago at age 58.
