Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Free Will Baptist Church at Checotah with Rev. Emmett Cartwright officiating for Charles C. Casey, 84.
Burial in Greenlawn cemetery was directed by Lescher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included Bill Misenheimer, Wayne Holden, Chester Cagle, Bob Frame, Ellery Lemley and Cort Falls.
Casey died Monday at the Cedars Nursing Home in Checotah following a long illness. A resident of this area for 30 years and a retired farmer, he was born October 11,1886, in Boone County, Ark.
Surviving are his wife, Mira of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Irma Purdom of Oktaha and Mrs. Bessie Foster of Checotah; a sister Rose Underwood of Bellefont, Ark.
