Mrs. Young was born September 22, 1942 at Fort Leonardwood, MO.
Her parents were Raymond Ray and Dorothy Louise (Heald) Adams.
She had lived in Galena for the past 28 years moving from Tongoanoxie, KS.
While living in Tonganoxie, she worked as a waitress at Opal's Café.
She was a member of the Spring River Boat and Ski Club, and was a Past President of the Lady's Elks, Galena, KS.
Among her interests were fishing and card playing.
She was married to Edward Ray Young on September 8, 1976 in Miami, OK. He survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Lonny Odom, Kansas City, KS, Flynn Odom, Pelsar, AR, and Travis Odom, Galena, KS; two daughters, Paula Workman, Tonganoxie, KS, and Tina Rago, Galena, KS; one brother, Raymond Ray Adams Jr, Galena, KS; two sisters, Gloria Sue Moore, Liberty, MO, and Linda Miller, Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, Deaven Workman, Daniel Workman, Megan Young, John Odom, Trenton Odom, and Shayle Odom; and two great-grandchildren, Abbi Gale Clarkson, and Onyx Young.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, Sept 9, 2011 at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS.
