Mrs. Clara Eaton Anderson Buried at Monarch
Funeral services were held at Montwel ward Chapel for Mrs. Clara Eaton Anderson, 49, who died at her home in Montwel Sunday morning, February 23, after an illness of nearly two months. James Hamblin presided at the services and the speakers were Bishop O. A. Richardson, John L. Perry, Simeon Russell and James Bacon, who all paid high tributes to the fine and honorable life of this mother. Musical selections were rendered by Mrs. Myrtle Labrum, Clara Adams, Floyd Labrum and Walter Marshall. Internment took place in the Monarch cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Kansas in 1886, a daughter of Orson Eaton and Claris Miller Eaton. She moved with her parents to Idaho when eight years old and four years later came to Kanosh, Utah. She married Dennis Marion Anderson of Meadow, Utah in 1905 and came with her husband to the Uintah Basin with the first settlers. The family has lived in the basin twenty-nine years. Mrs. Anderson was an active member of the L.D. S. church and was much loved in the community where she lived and worked.
Surviving are her husband and the following children: Oscar, Doyle and Haken of Montwel; Mrs. Clive (Sylvia) Hunt of Logan; Mrs. Golda Adams, Rose, Jennie and Thirza of Montwel; four sisters, Carrie Willhite of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Joe Kremer, Hermiston, Oregon; Mrs. Ethel Long, Idaho City, Idaho and two brothers, Elzie and Nathan Eaton of Boise, Idaho.
