Lillie Emma Fairchild Webb, 80, of Bonanza, died Saturday, September 28, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born February 12, 1911, in Bonanza, she was a daughter of Eli and Nannie May Fairchild. She was a member of the United Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Webb; one son, Johnny R. Shell of Noblesville, Indiana; one stepson, Donald R. Webb of Lexington; seven daughters, Malta L. Harvey and Barbara Jean Spradlin, both of Prestonsburg, Pauline Edward of Dwarf, Lorene Ball of St. Paris, Ohio, Alta Minton of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Margaret Ousley of Noblesville, Indiana, and Linda Hicks of Versailles; two stepdaughters, Joyce Ann Conley of Prestonsburg and Wanda Kelly of Lexington; one brother, Dennis Fairchild of Degraff, Ohio; two sisters, Rosa Lee Woods of Prestonsburg and Thelma Blanton of Marion, Ohio; 43 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 1, at 10 a.m. at the Chestnut Grove United Baptist Church at Brainard with Don Neeley, Wallace Calhoun, Tom Preese and Alex Prater officiating. Burial was made in the Webb Family Cemetery at Bonanza under direction of the Carter Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Milton Harvey, Elmon Spradlin, Doug Hicks, Junior Ball, Raymond Minton, Robert, Bobby and Jimmy Ousley.
Lillie Emma Fairchild was first married to Thomas Edward Shell, son of Jack Shell and Leotta Snipes.
