Nora May Cumbler, 81 years old, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Manor at Perry Village with her daughter, Connie and her husband Scott by her side. She was born December 27, 1929 in Miller Township, Perry County, to Eugene and Maggie Jane (Evans) Baker. In her younger days, she attended Pine Grove Church of God and sang in the church choir.
Nora was the widow of Harold E. Cumbler and is survived by her daughter, Connie Cumbler Morgan and her husband Scott of Liverpool, brother, Luther Baker and his wife Betty Jane of Newport and sister-in-law, Mary "Mitzi" Baker of Middletown and many generations of nieces and nephews. Nora was the youngest of 22 children.
Family and friends are invited to services on Thursday, from the David Myers Funeral Home with a funeral at 1 p.m. The Pastor Keith Beasley-Topliffe, is officiating. There is a viewing from 12 p.m., until the funeral. Burial will follow the funeral in the Newport Cemetery.
