Funeral services for B.M. "Mitch" Burt, age 74, were held Sunday, June 26, at 3 p.m. at The Epworth United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiated and burial followed in the County Line Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.
Mr. Burt died June 23, at SEAMC in Dothan.
Born Dec. 3, 1936 in Pittsview, Ala., he was the son of the late Barney Benton and Elizabeth Dahlberg Burt.
He was a member of The Epworth United Methodist Church. His hobbies were hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Burt of Eufaula; children, Tracy Tata, Warrenton, Ga., Donna (Bill) Starling, Georgetown, Teresa (Kenneth) McDonald, Eufaula, Scotty (Candy) Morris, Eufaula; 8 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; brother, Mac Burt, Dallas, Texas.
Active pallbearers were: Kevin Suggs, Scotty Starling, Joey Starling, Steven Starling, Kenneth McDonald and Ralph Suggs.
