He shares this gravestone with his wife, Garnet Wilmetta Burton Leifheit. Directly in front of their gravestone, lies his brother Fredrick and his wife Lucille Leifheit.
Mr. Leifheit and his wife lived down the road from my parents farm. They had a son, Roger. He road the same school bus with us each day to school. We attended Salisbury Elementary together and later went on to Pomeroy High School. My father loved buying his eggs from Mr. & Mrs. Leifheit. They always tasted better than the ones bought at the store. They had a farm up on the hill off Rock Springs road leading into Pomeroy. They belonged to the Rock Springs Grange together and attended the United Methodist Church.
They were good people.
