LAKE PROVIDENCE - Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda T. Leggette, 70, who died Monday afternoon in a Vicksburg, Miss., hospital after a short illness, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Cupit Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Young is to officiate and burial will follow in the Lake Providence Cemetery.

Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. L. W. Chapman and Mrs. Virginia Baker, both of Lake Providence, Miss Barbara Leggette of Tallulah, Mrs. George Whatley of Pascagoula, Miss., Mrs. Tiny Simmons and Mrs. A. D. Richardson of Vicksburg, Miss., Mrs. Tom Winstead of Clear Water, Fla., Mrs. K. M. Lough of Lakewood, Calif.; two sons, Elbert Leggette of Lake Providence and James Leggette of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Randell of Bastrop and Mrs. Wesley Pool of Kilbourne; and 23 grandchildren.
