He was born in Houston, Ill., to Everett and Emma Ruth (Bradshaw) Goin Sr., who preceded him in death. He was married Dec. 31, 1947, to Mary Martha Schneider, who survives.
Also surviving are six brothers, Everett Goin Jr. of Bucyrus, Floyd Goin of Carrothers, Ray Goin of Munsfurdville, Ky., Paul Goin of Crestline, Robert and Sam Goin, both of Bucyrus, and six sisters, Emma J. Brown of Cottontown, Tenn., Esther Loftis of Bucyrus, Jane Brown of Florida, Mary Prince of Nevada, Marilyn Russell of Portland, Tenn., and Violet Hammonds of Carrothers.
He was preceded in death by on brother and two sisters.
Mr. Goin had worked at the Plymouth Locomotive Works, was with Golden Pride International and had pastored many churches in Ohio and West Virginia. He attended school in Attica and the Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland, Tenn. He was a faithful member and pastored the Church of God of Prophecy in Carrothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Church of God of Prophecy in Carrothers. Rev. Harold Parker, assisted by Pastor Edward Kraft, will officiate with burial in Attica Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The staff of the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
