Family graveside sevices will be Thursday with the Rev. Daniel Lynch officiating. burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery, Fonda. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home, Newell.
Survivors include son, Donald, Fonda; daughter, Jeanne Wolford, Ames; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John and brothers, Clyde and Marvin.
Florence M. Andersen was born July 25, 1897, in Wisc. to Peter and Mabel (Hewitt) Hansen. She and her family later moved to Iowa where she married John Andersen. The couple farmed in the Fonda area most of their life, except for a few years when they lived in Barron, Wisc.
