Services for Weldon McBride, 89, of Killeen will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with the Rev. Donald R. Broadwater officiating.

Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.

McBride died Nov. 2, 2004, at a local hospital.

He was born Nov. 14, 1914, in Florence, the son of the late George F. McBride and Maude Cantwell.

McBride was a lifelong resident of Killeen, where he worked for the city as a street superintendent for 35 years.

McBride was a landlord of rental properties that he owned for 45 years.

Survivors include a son, Gary McBride of Killeen; and a brother, Ray McBride of Nolanville,

McBride was also preceded in death by a son, John Terry McBride; two brothers, L.Z. McBride and Bernice McBride; and a sister, Lorene Allman.
