Funeral service for William Alfred Jenkins Jr, 78, of Tuttle, was held Wednesday, 6/20/1990, at the Sowers Memorial chapel in Tuttle. Rev Gary Rice officiated. William Alfred Jenkins Jr was born 1/31/1912 in Hollis, OK and died Sunday, 6/17/1990 in Oklahoma City. He and Cleo Brown were married 7/16/1931 in Altus. They moved to Tuttle in 1931 and moved to Texas in 1948. They moved back to Tuttle in 1976. Mr Jenkins retired from Burlington Northern Railroad in 1974. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Robert Hudson Jr, 5 sisters, Alice Wilson, Bessie Dennis, Gladys Stephens, Hattie Lawley, & Carrie Metkies, and his parents, William Alfred & Lina (Pate) Jenkins Sr. He is survived by his wife, Cleo, 3 daughters, Helen Dibble of Bairbridge, NY, Lina Bolin of Pampa, TX, & Sally Ingram of Tuttle, 9 sons, Bill Jenkins of Bay City, TX, Floyd Jenkins of Rawlins, WY, John Jenkins of Milton, FL, William A. Jenkins III of Cumby, TX, Tony Jenkins of Weatherford, TX, Eddie Jenkins of Dallas, TX, James Jenkins of Ft Worth, TX, Joe Jenkins of Garland, TX, & Travis Parker of Tuttle, 2 sisters, Nell Hiatt of Tuttle, & Minnie Ridings of Littlefield, TX, 1 brother, Floyd Jenkins of Lubbock, TX, 33 grandchildren, & 17 great grandchildren. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home.
