Who could foresee that Jesse would many years later, sensitive to his mother's lack of transportation, would be given the opportunity as a civil engineer with Department of Transportation to lay the foundation of Madera's current public transportation system with the Dial-A-Ride Program? Jesse returned to his birthplace, Madera, after 37 years with Cal Trans.
The years that followed Jesse spent many hours on his life hobbies. A direct descendant of Domingo Alviso a Spanish soldier of the Anza Expedition in 1776, Jesse documented, recorded, and cataloged family history. A skilled carpenter Jesse could be found in his workshop formatting his next project, and as he said "making sawdust". Music and family completed his life.
In his own words:
"I'm going to live, love, this day and every day because I may never pass this way again."
Jesse was preceded in death by his son Arthur Julian Alviso, his parents Juanita "Jennie" and Frank Alviso; brothers, Sonny, Carl, Gerald, his sister Lorraine and his wife Ibe.
He is survived by his daughter Timi Milor and husband Paul; Annette Lee and husband Wilson; grandchildren, Johnene Steinberg and husband Lawrence, Jason McKee and wife Meggan, Shawna Demilo and husband Michael, Jennifer Klassen and husband Darren and Paul Lewis Milor; his great grand children, Madison and Aidan Steinberg, Lewis Klassen, Jessica Berlow, and Joshua Lee; his sister Evelyn Alviso and brother Bob Alviso and wife Rita.
