On the Colonel Abraham Wemple farm, now the Watervliet Reservoir, about 300 feet northwest of where the old brick house of 1760 stood and on the north bank of the Normanskill Creek by a hickory tree are two field stones.
Col. Abraham Wemple died 1799 aged 71 years. A Colonel in War of the Revolution.

Another burial plot on this farm is about 1000 feet east of where the brick house stood and at the foot of the highland owned by Johannes Vrooman at his death in 1785. The deed to this place says:
Adam Vrooman and wife were buried here prior to 1801.

Gravesite Details
Abraham and wife Antje Wemple were buried on their farm, and the farm was bought for construction of the Watervliet Reservoir Dam in 1915. Abraham and his wife Antje Wemple are buried at the bottom of the reservoir - NOT Guilderland Cemetery.
