Charles B. Tuttle, 71, Baker Lane, died at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Sept. 8, 1990.
A Laurel County native, he was born Jan. 26, 1919 to the late Jesse James and Lizzie Proffitt Tuttle. He was a retired coal miner and member of the Swiss Colony Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mossie Miller Tuttle; six sons, Jack, Carl, Arthur, Victor, William Tuttle, all of London, and Jesse Tuttle, East Bernstadt; three daughters, Joann Barton, Bardstown, Mary Lucy, London, and Dianna Tuttle, Bowling Green. Also surviving are a brother, Oscar Tuttle, Corbin; two sisters, Edith Southard, London, and Ida Jones, Louisville; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Delmer Gross officiating. Interment followed in the East Colony Cemetery.
