Clara Dagmar Bawden Becerril passed peacefully into her Heavenly Father's arms on August 31, 2011.

Born February 1, 1955 to Henry and Elaine Bawden in Granger, Utah.

Named after both grandmothers. Even though her first name was Clara, she always went by Dagmar. Fondly known as Mar Mar and Daga by the nieces and nephews.

Growing up on a large farm she learned hard work where she picked and sold corn and harvested and canned other fruits and vegetables.

Served a full time mission for the LDS Church in the Netherlands where she learned to speak Dutch. Served faithfully in various callings in the LDS church, such as: member of the Primary Presidency, librarian, teacher, etc.

Graduated from the U of U with a Bachelors degree in languages.

Married Sergio Becerril on September 13, 1997. Dagmar and Sergio had one son, Charles.

Survived by her husband, Sergio, son, Charles, step-sons, Sergio, Craig, and Dustin, step-grandchildren, Chase and Julian. Brothers: Orin (Dixie) Bawden, Lawrence (Donna) Bawden, Robin (Wendi) Bawden. Sisters: Marilane Bawden and Peggy (Jay) Harnish. Sisters-in-law: Silvia (Alejandro), Aracely (Alfonzo). Brothers-in-law: Jose (Sandra), Gerard (Norma). Preceded in death by her brother, Henry Lane Bawden, and by her father and mother.

We would like to express our gratitude to Brian Robertson at Aspen Funeral Services as well as family and friends who visited and supported her and to the IMC medical staff for their tender, loving care to Dagmar.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan First Ward Chapel, 4145 South 3920 West, West Valley City, UT, where friends and family may call between 9:45 and 10:45 prior to the services. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Aspen Funeral Services, 459 West Universal Circle (9160 South), Sandy, Utah.
Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT.
