Ruth B. Rees Taylor Road Ruth B. Rees, 92, of Taylor Road died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Four Seasons Health Care Center. She was a former secretary at North Christian Church, a member of North Christian, a 60-year member of Kappa Kappa Sigma sorority and a member of Monday Literary Club.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Four Seasons Chapel with the Rev. Evelyn Brown officiating.
Memorials may be made to North Christian Church. Arrangements were made by Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rees was born in Rush County Oct. 12, 1907, the daughter of George and Lenna B. Smith Billings. She married J.R. Rees April 3, 1926. He died March 12, 1968. Survivors include daughters Jean Reed of Syracuse and Julia Rhodes of North Webster; a sister, Jean Luzier of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Billings, and sisters Mildred Mackie and Harriett Witherspoon. (Columbus Republic 10 Oct 2000.)
