Calvin was the oldest of five children born to Alpha Dennis and Mattie Sarah (Kivett) McMasters. He married Mary Alice Parrish in 1922 and they were the parents of three daughters: Tula A., Wanda Faye and Mary Ruth.

REV. CALVIN C. MCMASTERS

KERNERSVIILE -- The Rev. Calvin C. McMasters, 86, of 600 Hastings Hill Road, died Sunday at his home.
The family will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kernersville Wesleyan Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mary Parrish McMasters; daughters, Mrs. Tula Brady and Mrs. Faye Redding of Kernersville, Mrs. Mary Ruth Gibbons of Rutherfordton; sister, Mrs. Madge Henderson of Greensboro; seven grandchildren.
The family will be at the Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Youth Crusade East District of the Wesleyan Church or the Fellowship Hall Building Fund in care of the Kernersville Church.
