Mr. Allcock was born in Vera and grew up in Knox County. He served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II and married Letha May Parsley in 1946. He was a farmer and worked as a mechanic. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Eastland; two daughters, Robbie Van of Midland and Marsella McGough of Cisco; five brothers, Denver Allcock of Bastrop, Allen Allcock of Carbon, Harold Allcock of Weatherford, and Billy Allcock and Joe Allcock, both of Fort Worth; three sisters, Beatrice Smith of Eastland, Juanita Oliver of Whitney and Sue Peters of Olton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Big Country, 3113 Oldham Lane, Abilene 79602.
