Jim graduated from North Park University and the University of Nebraska. His numerous transfers with Outboard Marine Corporation allowed the family to experience many parts of the United States. After moving to St. Petersburg in 1973 Jim worked with Gulf Aluminum Products. He was a member of Seminole Lake Tennis Center and Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Society.
Jim loved tennis, golf, billiards and especially listening to and playing music with his wife. Together, he & Bev enjoyed traveling throughout the world. Jim was also an avid sailor and his entire family will cherish the hours they spent on the water.
There will be a private burial service, per Jim's request, on Windsong, their sailboat. He always said this occasion would be his final sail.
