ARMINTA WILEY KEEFE

Mrs. Arminta Wiley Keefe, aged 57, wife of Joseph W. Keefe, Sr., died at her home in Grantsville, Md., Sunday morning, December 23rd, after a prolonged illness.

She was the daughter of the late James P. Wiley and Mrs. Barbara Meyers Wiley, of near Grantsville, and married Joseph W. Keefe Feb. 11, 1906.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, J. Cortez Keefe, of Elmira, N.Y., and Pfc. Joseph W. Keefe, Jr., of Robin Field, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Francis Knecht of Salisbury, Pa., and Mrs. William C. Grimm of Grantsville; four sisters, Mrs. Harriet Resh and Mrs. Anna Resh, Grantsville; Mrs. Lucretia Groves, Frostburg, and Mrs. Chad Hager, Akron, O.; three brothers, Harvey Wiley and Grant Wiley of Grantsville, and Ralph Wiley of New Germany, and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Keefe was a member of the Catholic Church and had many friends in this community. She was kind and loved her home and family.

Funeral services were held in St. Stephen's Catholic Church, with Rev. Father David officiating. The pallbearers were F. J. Getty, Thomas McKenzie, Nevin Broadwater, Clarence Miller, Harry McKenzie and Kermit Bittinger. Interment in the Grantsville cemetery.
