Obituary:
Thomas E. Sims was born Oct. 10, 1861 and departed this life Dec. 2, 1933 aged 71 years, 1 month and 23 days. He was united in marriage to Annie T. Carter, Aug. 18, 1881, and to this union were born five children, four of whom are still living: Mrs. Faris Tatum of Selmore, Mrs. Fred Collins of Selmore, Mrs. Allen Doran, Highlandville, Mrs. Fred Kerr of Cassidy. His wife and child preceded him in death. He professed faith in Christ some 42 years ago and joined the Methodist church of which he was a member at death.

He leaves besides his children three sisters, one brother, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren with a host of relatives and friends to morn his loss.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Selmore Christian church by Rev. Dillon with burial in the Selmore cemetery under the direction of T.B. Chaffin.
