BOONEVILLE - James Harold Shook, 61, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at home after an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1950, to Mildred Ryan Shook and Herman Shook of Booneville. He was a member of Lambs Chapel A.I.M. Church. He was a retired factory employee.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Lambs Chapel A.I.M. Church with Bro. Gene Coltharp, Bro. Ricky Gattis and Bro. Randy Estes officiating. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery. Kesler Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jackson Shook of Booneville; two sons, Jimmy Shook of Knoxville, Tenn., and Bobby Shook of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters; Jennifer Croft (Jerry), Jeannie Thompson (Chris) and Debra Lewism all of Booneville; three brothers, Johnny, Jerry and Stanley Shook; three sisters, Ann Gattis (Billy), Linda Burns (Hayden) and Ruth Ticer (Jr.); his mother, Mildred Shook of Booneville; five grandchildren, Brittney Karol Downs, Layken Marie Kizer, Justin Michael Lewis, Raelyn Noel and Terry Lynn "Bubba" Strange; three stepgrandchildren, Rusty, Jessica and Hunter Croft.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Shook, and one brother, Gary Shook.
Pallbearers will be Terry Strange, Jerry Croft, Chris Thompson, John Burns, and Tony and Justin Lewis.
Visitation will continue until service time today.
