John Howard "Johnny" Shook, 74, passed away at his home in Booneville on January 3, 2023. He was born in Booneville on June 27, 1948, to Herman Howard Shook and Mildred Ryan Shook. He was a retired electrical engineer from Delta, PC & I. He lived in Arkansas during his working years. He owned a stock car race team for 15 years and enjoyed racing in the Arkansas Circuit. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
There will not be any services at this time. Booneville Funeral Home is assisting the family.
He is survived by his son, Richard Shook and his wife, Darlene, and his daughter, Tammy Ross, all of Booneville; brothers, Jerry Shook (Barbara) of Jumpertown, and Stanley Shook (Pam) of Booneville; sisters, Ann Gattis (Billy), Linda Burns, both of Booneville, and Ruth Ticer of Cairo; grandson, Elijah Shook (Katie Beth) of Loudon, TN, and Jessica Ross of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mildred, brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Paulette Shook, brother-in-laws, Hayden Burns and Laurence Ticer, Jr.
