Helen "Granny" Linville Freeman, 85, of 3626 Little Creek Road, Dublin, died early Tuesday morning Aug. 30, 2011.

She was born in Fries Nov. 20 1925 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Linville and Rachel Bowers Linville.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Carl Freeman; two granddaughters, Teresa Duncan and Stephanie Charlene Yonce; grandson, Christopher Dale Yonce; a son-in-law, George A. Duncan Jr., and a sister and brother.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian "Tina" Duncan, Iris Faye Dean, and Arlene and Mike Haga; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Debra Freeman, Carlyle Freeman, Dillard Freeman, and Ricky and Rose Freeman; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sisters, Mildred Stroupe, Clara Lee Chapel and Loretta Burkhardt, and brothers, Basil "Ed" Linville and Bill Linville.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Charles Waller, James Linville and Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends 6-8 p.m.
