VERNA HICKOK

Verna V. Rash Hickok, daughter of Alfred and Alice Rash, was born April 30, 1900 in Derby, Ia. and died July 20, 1976 at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 20 days.

She was united in marriage to Charles E. Hickok on October 3, 1917. Mr. and Mrs. Hickok established their home near Derby, later moving to Lamoni and then to Chariton.

To this union were born two children, Harry Hickok of Waterloo and Eva Atkinson of Chariton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and one grandson.

She leaves to mourn her passing her two children, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. James Nelson at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 23, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Humeston Cemetery.
