"Jane Carson to Graduate" - Miss Martha Jane Carson, daughter of Mrs. Chester Carson of Commerce, Georgia and the late Mr. Carson, will receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree with major in Bible and Christian Education from Flora MacDonald College, Red Springs, North Carolina on June 2, 1958.

Jane has been very active in extracurricular campus activities. Her student club memberships have included: The William Bartram Scientific Society, the Mathematical Honor Society, the Student Volunteers, the Grandaughters Club, and the Spanish Club which she served as secretary her sophomore year and as president her junior year. A member of the Epsilon Chi Society, Jane has participated actively in the religious life of the college as a Prayer Band Leader in the Christian Association and as a member of the Westminister Fellowship Council for two years. In her senior year Jane served as president of the Georgia-Florida Club of which she is a charter member.

After June 10, 1958 Jane will be working as the Parish Director of Christian Education for six country Churches in Anderson, South Carolina. (From "The Carnesville Herald and Advance"-- May 29, 1958)
