She was born in Jessamine County, the daughter of Bronson and Edna Dean Blakeman. She was a retired farmer and a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gay; five children and their spouses, Diana Adams of Lexington, Linda Lanham of Lancaster, Cindy Casey and her husband, Steve, of Lexington, Susie Young and her husband, Sonny, of Lancaster and Becky Gay Sevier of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Stephanie Lanham Carmack and her husband, Dwight, Tamara Day and her husband, Wayne, Stephen Brooks Casey, Sara Maria Adams, Jason Collins Sevier and Ross Adam Casey; and three great-grandchildren, Madison Taylor Day, Braden Carmack and Morgan Brooke Day.
Graveside funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the Lancaster Cemetery with the Rev. Bryce McCulley officiating.
