BLAKEMAN, Bronson Morris, 87, husband of Mrs. Edna Dean Blakeman, Route 3, Sugar Creek Road, Nicholasville, died at 12:30 pm Saturday at U K Medical Center after a short illness. He was a retired farmer and carpenter, a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. He was a son of the late Smith and Lucinda Chitwood Blakeman. Additional survivors are one daughter, Mrs Eddie Gay, Lancaster (author's note-this was a step-daughter), one brother, Herman Blakeman, Lexington, one sister, Mrs Charity Fain, Jessamine County, five granddaughters, Miss Diana Gay, Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs Billy Lanham, Lancaster, Mrs Steve Casey, Hialeah, Florida, Mrs Suzanne Casey, Lancaster, Miss Becky Dean Gay, Lancaster, two great granddaughters, Stephanie Lanham, Lancaster, Tamara Casey, Lancaster, several nieces and nephews. Services 2pm Tuesday at Betts and West Funeral Home, Nicholasville, with Rev Richard Wilson officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville. Bearers: A.G.Canter, John Teater, Fred Dunn, Edward Perkins, Clevert Gayhart and Frank Teater.
