CHARLES ALMA ASHBY

Charles Alma Ashby, 59, of 463 West Fifty-ninth South Street, died late Thursday at a local hospital.

Mr. Ashby, who had been engaged in farming, was born in Bountiful, January 8, 1788. He had lived most of his life in Davis and Salt Lake Counties and was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha Prosser Ashby, eight sons, Charles, Clarence E., Delbert G., Newell B., Edwin J., Keith V., Grant A and Eldon P. Ashby, a daughter, Mrs. Nathulia Brown, three sisters, Mrs. Fanule Page, Mrs. Susan Page and Mrs. Martha Burmingham and two brothers, John F. and Ralph J. Ashby.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Deseret Mortuary by Bishop J. E. Wahlquist. Burial will be in the Sandy Cemetery.
