Genevieve "Gen" Boni, 81 of Lake Sumner, NM died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM following an illness.

She was born December 29, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the home of Walter and Edna (Ross) Wolf. She attended St. Jude Catholic School and Central Catholic high School in Fort Wayne, Indiana

She married Clarence Beverforden at St. Jude Catholic Church in 1947. They moved with their 3 children to Sylmar, California in 1959.

Gen married Barton Boni on May 24, 1968 in Virginia City, NV. She managed apartment buildings in Ventura County, CA.

Gen and Barton made their home in California, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Indiana, and Arizona where they lived on the Navajo Reservation for 14 years and the Hopi Reservation for one year before moving to Lake Sumner in 2002.

Gen loved to read and watch FOX News. She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner.

She spent her life helping those in need.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Joseph Wolf and Edna Louise (Ross) Wolf, a sister Ernestine Wolf and her first husband Clarence Beverforden.

Survivors include her husband Barton Boni of Lake Sumner; two daughters Cynthia Beverforden of Keams Canyon, AZ; Susan Beverforden; and Clarence Beverforden of San Fernando Valley, CA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, one brother Joseph Wolf of Cleveland, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2011 with Father Simeon Wimmershoff officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Gabriel Baca, Andy Marquez, Joe Lovato, Robert Lopez, Sylvester Roybal and Bill Hancock.
