Services for Mrs Frank (Georgette) Hardie, 76, of 395 Villa St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St Columbkille's Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Ia. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where the the wake service will be said at 7 p.m.
Mrs Hardie was a volunteer at Mercy Health Center St Joseph's Unit for many years.
She was born July 7, 1913, in Dubuque, daughter of Harker and Elsie (Tileston) Spensley. She died Sunday morning, Dec 17, 1989, at Mercy Health Center, St Joseph's Unit.
She married Frank Hardie on Feb 6, 1940, at the Nativity Catholic Church, Dubuque; he survives.
She was a member of St Columbkille's Catholic Church, Catholic Mother's Study Club, St. Margaret's Circle, American Red Cross Volunteer, Visiting Nurse Association Senior Board, Daughter of The American Revolution and the Dubuque Golf and Country Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs Gary (Kathleen) Jensen, San Diego, Carolyn Cox of Redwood City, Calif., and Mary Hardie of Oakland, Calif.; two sons, Michael Hardie of Oakland and Stephen Hardie of Dubuque; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs William (Anne) Gallogly of Dubuque and Mrs Mrs John (Mary Ann) Weir of Stanford, Conn; and a brother Harker B. Spensley of Denver.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Memorials may be given to Mercy Health Center, and St Columbkille's Catholic Church.
