Carl Centers, 78, of 5019 Blackburn Avenue; Ashland, died Tuesday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Mr. Centers was born Aug 22 1908 in Martin County. He was a retired Armco Inc. employee and attended the Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula Gullett Centers; two stepsons, Harry Gullett of Flatwoods and Raymond Gullett of Ashland; five stepdaughters, Garnetta Lemaster and Annetta Williams, both of Ashland, Imogene Caudill of Catlettsburg, Margie Lemaster of Wheelersburg, KY and Bonnie Gullett of Fairmont, WV; a half-brother, William Dunnagen of Vanceburg; 27 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1pm Thursday at the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Bobby Cassity. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
