Obituary:
Retired nurse Amelia McHugh Land died of congestive heart failure yesterday at St. Joseph Nursing and Health Care Center, Bloomfield, at age 101.
Mrs. Land graduated from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1911 and worked at the Pittsburgh Hospital until her retirement in 1960. The Brookline resident served as Democratic committee-woman in the 25th District, 19th Ward. She also was a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church in Brookline and the Christian Mothers group.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Campoll of Madison, Wis.; three sons, John J. Jr. of Brookline, Edward C. of Santa Rosa, Calif., and William M. of Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildrent and one great-great-granddaughter.
Friends may call between noon and 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, 1065 Brookline Blvd., Brookline. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Resurrection, Creedmoor Avenue, Brookline. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Carrick.
