Evelyn J. Andoe Rowan of Broken Bow, died Thursday, May 6, 1999, in McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born July 10, 1934, in Idabel.
A retired medication nurse, Rowan loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed painting suncatchers. She had lived in the community all of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alpha and Nona Andoe; her husband, Bismark Rowan; a son, Mark Leon Rowan; and a brother, Robert Andoe.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Joe Privette of Idabel, Sheana and Thomas Erwin of Cloudy and Talena and Dale Cook of Broken Bow; one brother, Kenneth Andoe of Wright City; one sister, Jo Towery of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren, Whit Privette, Ashley Oliver, Jennifer Privette, Danny Erwin, Roger Erwin, Bandy Erwin, Candace Cook and Cass Cook; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wright City Assembly of God with Bro. Mike Napier and Bro. Vance Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Valliant Cemetery.
