Miss Sophie Kaus, age 29 years and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kaus of the Ferdinand section died at the home of her parents Monday evening, after an illness of a year's duration with stomach trouble.
Miss Kaus was born in Kansas and came to this section with her parents 12 years ago.
Besides her sorrowing parents, she leaves to mourn her death five sisters and two brothers as follows: Ms. H.T. Pollock of Ferdinand; Mrs. W.C. Roy of Pingree, Idaho; Mrs. M.D. Hanson, San Francisco; Mrs. Franz Trommeter, Miss Lizzie Kaus, and W.M. Kaus of Selden, Kansas, and Frank Kaus of Cottonwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Ferdinand from the Catholic church of that city, and interment to take place in the Catholic cemetery at Ferdinand. Undertaker Nau of this city supplied the funeral furnishings."
