AIKEN — George A. Reed ,70, of Aiken, died at his home Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at Montmorenci Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m Friday with internment in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Florence Barton Reed; three daughters, Mrs. Dan D. Magness, Mrs. Henry Moseley and Mrs. Richard Meyer of Aiken; one son, Major John A. Reed, USAF, Bossier City, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Fogle Nichols and Mrs. Gary Johnson, Augusta, Ga.; and three brothers, Clayton Springfield of Round O and M. Dallas Reed of Beaufort.
A native of Orangeburg County, Mr. Reed had lived in Aiken for the past 35 years, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Mary Alice Fanning Reed and was a retired carpenter.
The body will remain at the George Funeral Home.
