Jeneta Howe Young, 81, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Merry Wilburn officiating. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home. A private burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.

Jeneta was born in Mexia, Texas, to the late Dollie Lee (Seaton) and Loyd B. Howe. She married Merle Wade Young in Flat, Texas, on Dec. 19, 1946. Jeneta went to nursing school at King's Daughter Hospital in Temple and retired from Eastside Surgery in Bellmead. She loved to cross-stitch, knit, crochet, sew, and read. She especially loved spending time with her family and having coffee with her twin-sister. Jeneta was a member of the Spark's Memorial United Methodist Church in Bellmead.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Young Hughlett and husband, Marzie, of Robinson, Debbie Young Burton and husband, Shorty, of Waco; grandchildren, Kevin Young Hughlett and Susie, of Hewitt, and Kristi Burton Ronje and David, of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Drew, Kara and Lindy Hughlett, and Collin and Jack Ronje; twin sister, Jeneva Kattner, of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
