Gussie's other siblings were: Florence (1866-1956); Walter Moore (1869-1951); Leslie Elmer (1871-1954); and William Reid (1876-1946).
Gussie's marriage to Lyndon M. Comstock is shrouded in mystery, along with most of the details of her life. The date of the marriage and the date of the separation are unknown. The separation took place no later than 1912 and probably much earlier. No marriage record has been found and it's unclear whether the marriage was common law. He never disclosed the marriage, or that there had been a child (who died in infancy) to the children of his subsequent marriage. Gussie's peregrinations in the first two decades after the breakup of the marriage are unclear; she remained close to her twin brother and likely was in range of him in the West. There are rumors of two subsequent marriages, if so, the names of the husbands are unknown. She used the surname Comstock in the later years of her life and is buried under that surname. Her means of support after the breakup of her marriage to Lyndon M., or whether she ever had contact with him again after their separation, are unknown. She died in 1960 as the result of a fire in her hotel room in LA.
