Adelheid Gass Smith, 97, of Dilley, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in San Antonio. She was a member of the Dilley United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women; Lytle Chapter #335, OES; and the Trinity University Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lynch Smith in 1994 and one son, Gene Smith in 1996, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Stanley L. and Lynn Smith of Galveston; one sister; Laura Beaty of Comfort; three grandchildren, C. Bradley Smith; Garrett L. Smith; and Elizabeth Nash, and 6 great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2005 in the Dilley United Methodist Church; Rev. Vicky Troy officiating. Interment will follow in the Dilley Cemetery with graveside services under the auspices of Lytle Chapter #335, OES.
