Mrs. John B. Frizzell, Jr. nee Viola Gass of Comfort, TX, passed away in San Antonio, TX on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the age of 86 years. Mrs. Frizzell is survived by the following: one son, one daughter and spouses, Jal and C.P. "Chuck" Morriss of Mesa, AZ, John Bonner and Stephanie Frizzell of Covington, LA; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, one brother: Laura "Pete" Beaty of Comfort, TX, Jake Gass of Comfort, Adelheid Smith of Dilley, TX. The body will lie in state in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home in Comfort, TX until Tuesday morning at 9:15 A.M. and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the Gaddis Memorial Methodist Church in Comfort, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gaddis Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Owens officiating. Interment in the Comfort Cemetery, Comfort, TX. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Vi Frizzell Friendship Bread Fund to provide scholarships for Comfort Students, % Gaddis Memorial Methodist Church.
