Frances I. Tanner, 76, of Richwood, died Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2006, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
A 1948 graduate of Magnetic Springs High School, she was retired as owner/operator of the Villa/Hotel Restaurant in Richwood for many years.She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed being around and taking care of people and animals. She was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Union County. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Otho and Elsie Drollinger Dilsaver;step-father, Ezra Green,;two husbands, Louis Tanner and Sidney Spurlock; three brothers,Foster, Bill and Chester Dilsaver; and two sisters, Mabel Fields and Virginia Bush. Surviving are three daughters, Beverly (Gordon) Brown and Becky (Ed)Penix of Richwood, and Pam (Denny) Mathys of Raymond; three sons, Donald Tanner of Bucyrus, Jim (Angela) Spurlock of Richwood, and Billy
(Beverly) Spurlock of Marysville; 19 grandchildren; 37
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate. The deceased's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
