He was a former associate of Scioto Valley Janitorial Service and also served with the Union County Humane Society. He formerly worked at Cuthbert's Greenhouse. He was a big Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was a collector of interesting artifacts and objects, which he creatively decorated. Known as "Big Skinny" to his family and friends, he also enjoyed his bicycle, "Black Rose." He will be most remembered for his kind heart, big smile and hearty laugh.
He was born June 26, 1967 in Kenton to the late Sid Spurlock and Frances Dilsaver Tanner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Spurlock. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Lynn Spurlock of Springfield; his son, Sidney Spurlock of Columbus; his siblings, Beverly (Gordon) Brown of Richwood, Donnie Tanner of Bucyrus, Becky Penix of Richwood and Pam (Dennis) Mathys of Raymond; his grandchildren, Natalie, Madalynn, Ziggmen, Zoey and AJ; and a great-grandchild, Katniss (on the way); a very special nephew, Jayden; and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Underwood Funeral Home assisted the family.
