John Arrowood of West Brandywine

John Arrowood, 73, of West Brandywine, PA, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at his home.

He was the husband of Miriam Dickey Arrowood.

Born in Pigeon Roost, NC, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Willis Arrowood.

He was employed as a crane operator for Lukens Steel Co., retiring in 1981.

He was a builder of Pennsylvania long rifles and an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

He is survived by a son, Donald L. Arrowood of Coatesville, PA; a daughter, Joyce E. Lyman of White Haven, PA; two brothers, Troy Arrowood of Tunkhannock, PA, and Alfred Arrowood of Oxford, PA; a sister, Albert Beyer of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, 1998, at the Founds Funeral Home Inc., High and Union Streets, West Chester, PA.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brandywine Hospice, 406 Boot Rd., Suite 404-1, Downingtown, PA 19335.
