John Clement Adams spent his childhood days in a old brick home in Marion Co. Ky., on Pleasant Run, sometimes referred to as Simmstown, across the road from St, Ivo's Church, where in St. Ivo's Cemetery both John Clement and his father, James are buried. John Clement, known as Clem was married three times. One son, Joseph Leo left Ky. for Dennison, Texas in 1876, later moved to Collins, Texas where he married Annie Brennon, born Ontario, Canada. They resided near Terrell, Texas in an area known as "The Ridge".
