Kate was a first generation American of German descent -- Bavaria to be exact. Her parents settled in Monroe County, New York in the 1840s after coming from Europe. She first married a man named Rosenbauer in the 1870s, but he apparently died in the 1880s and she remarried our direct ancestor -- Frederick Koehl. She lived out the rest of her life in Wayne County, New York.
Parents names were John Wagner and Barbara.
Daughter Margaret is buried at Pine Plains Cemetery, Sullivan, Madison County, New York with her husband. We are still looking for Carrie's burial location.
