Beutell: Barbara, beloved wife of the late Charles F., mother of Charles F., jr., Joseph, Rose, Bernard, Paul, Mrs. Agnes MacDonald, Mrs. Marie Hammer, Mrs. Elizabeth Jasany, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister of Mrs. Elizabeth Heideman, April 8. Friends may call at Brickman's Funeral Home, 7204 Superior ave. Services Saturday, April 11, from St. Thomas Aquinas' Church at 9 a. m.

She was born in Moersch, a suburb of Frankenthal, District of Rheinfelz, Germany in 1866. She migrated to the US in 1885 and settled in Cleveland where she got a job as a housemaid. She must have met Carl in about 1886 and then had Charles Frederick in March 1888 even though they didn't marry until Nov. 1888.

Birth record for Barbara in Germany:

"In the year of our Lord 1866, on the 10th day of September, there was born the baptized, legitimate daughter of Peter Lampmann II, a farm custodian, and Anna Moritz, his wife, both Catholics from Moersch, who named the child Barbara. The godmother was Barbara Buole."

Barbara's Passport, which was obtained in 1922, said that Barbara was 5 foot 1, had a high forehead, blue eyes, straight nose, medium mouth, round chin, red hair, fair complexion and oval face. She apparently got this passport so she could visit relatives in Europe in Czech, Germany, British Isles and Switzerland.
